About Role

Job Description
A claims assistant takes tasks to support staff in processing insurance claims. Claims assistants manage correspondence, take phone calls, do paperwork, and type documents. Also called insurance claim clerks, the assistants do clerical and administrative tasks. They are also expected to have management skills.
Responsibilities
A- Correspondence services to P&I Clubs and their members
B- Correspondence services to medical companies and shipping companies for cargo related matters
C- Continuous correspondence with principals
E- Registration, administration, and handling of claims
F- Preparing invoices for P&I and medical invoices; Follow up on pending invoices (local and foreign)
Requirements
A- Minimum 3 years experience as a claim handler in Shipping / Insurance Companies/ Loss Adjusters
B- Technical knowledge and expertise in the Marine services sector
C- Experience in negotiation and surveying
D- BA Degree
E- Working knowledge of MS Office
F- Fluent in English and Arabic
G- Knowledge of local Maritime law
H- Surveying proficiency
I- Strong negotiation skills
J- Administrative skills
