1- Communication Technician

Responsibilities
- The Communications Technician shall provide expertise on communications planning for fixed site and tactical deployments
- The Communications Technician shall also be responsible for Tower Mounted UHF/VHF equipment that requires certification as a Communications Tower Worker.
- The Communications Technician shall be responsible for organizational repair/maintenance of all communications equipment, including Fixed Site Antennae Mast Group (FSAMG) and Tactical Site Interface Kit (TSIK) towers, in support of the Fire Units and Battalions.
Requirements
- The Communications Technician shall have a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in the repair, operation and sustainment of UHF / VHF communication systems and networks and possess a demonstrated experience and knowledge of PATRIOT communication networks.
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or in related technical discipline and a minimum of 4 years prior relevant experience Or 12 years in lieu of degree
- Experience with Link-16, 3011C multicast links, and PADIL operations.
- Should be skilled in troubleshooting and repair of the SINCGARS, MIDS terminals, JTIDS and similar type radios.
