Job Description
Technicians and supervisors in carrying out repairs by being hands-on in regular maintenance repairs, fault finding and monitoring of company Cranes associated equipment for smooth functioning of port operations.
Responsibilities
- To work with other technicians and supervisors in carrying out repairs by being hands-on in regular maintenance repairs, fault finding and monitoring of company Cranes associated equipment for smooth functioning of port operations.
- To ensure planned electrical maintenance is carried out vigorously, efficiently, safely at minimum cost whilst providing maximum continuous availability of equipment between planned maintenance intervals.
- To identify spare parts and obtain technical information from the manufactures parts, technical manuals and drawings, raise requisitions for spare parts required for equipment on repair / maintenance job and forwarding same to the Supervisor
- To ensure maximum operational availability of Equipment by diagnosing and specifying repair methods.
- To submit routine inspection and monitoring reports for management review and decision making, while using administrative systems to track and order for parts.
- To optimally conduct jobs and report breakdown and faults by carrying out preventive maintenance, as well as lead corrective and emergency maintenance, when appointed, to avoid wastage in time, cost and resources.
- Visit sites of work locations and equipment as and when assigned tasks related out of beyond the regular workshops.
- Build on knowledge base to be able to work across sections and job functions, through understanding of Crane & Plant equipment, along with electrical and mechanical works.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Procurement experience
- Experience with Excel – word – PowerPoint – access & Oracle Fusion or SAP experience.
- English: Excellent, oral and written
- Arabic: Professional, oral & written
