1- Cargo Assistant
Full Time
Dubai, UAE

Job Responsibilities:

1- Analyse spot/ad-hoc rate requests from the EK network and interline partners using all available decision-support tools to decide on the rate to be quoted – taking into consideration cost and minimum requirement.
2- Regular coordination with Spot Desk Controller/Capcon for update on critical / green routes.
3- Collaboration with Pricing Manager/Analyst on changing market trends/demand, that impact rate offer.
4- Co-ordinate closely with the CAPCON/Freighter teams and ensure capacity is offered at a premium whilst steering stations to align with the commercial/pricing strategy defined.
5- Creative and innovative thinking to find best solutions for requests.

Job Requirements:

1- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent (preferred not a prerequisite)
2- 2+ years’ Cargo/Logistics/Airline or reservations/call-centre experience
3- Experience working in a commercial environment
4- Knowledge of Cargo rates/charges, rules/regulations, cargo reservations and operational procedures.
5- Computer literate & experience operating Windows / MS Office; including Word/Excel/PowerPoint
6- Good communication skills across channels and cultures
